Jeff Barker - Lead Vocals

Charismatic Front Man and Lead Vocalist Jeff Barker has gained a reputation as a first-class entertainer and for, arguably, being the best swing singer currently working in the South East of England (but that might be because The Jeff Barker Band has only performed in the South East of England, so far!). Jeff's reputation has been endorsed by a hectic schedule of playing at the most prestigious venues in the local area. Jeff has done his "Schwing Thing" at weddings, parties, corporate events and society functions for many years and, since he surrounded himself with this fine team of musicians, things have just got better and better!

Always immaculately presented, Jeff has a remarkable ability to make his audience feel that they are experiencing something special. He will transport you back to another era, a time when "swing was the thing". But he's not stuck in the past! He's equally comfortable with the styles of Michael Buble, Robbie Williams and Rod Stewart! He really does recreate the atmosphere of an authentic swing concert.

The Band loves the crowd to get involved and Jeff ensures that audience participation is high on the agenda. He'll regularly get lost amongst the audience whilst he's encouraging everyone to dance and sing along. London born Jeff is life-long fan of swing legends Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jnr and Bobby Darin. He displayed a natural talent for entertaining from a young age and was urged to perform professionally by friends and family. His enthusiasm was further encouraged by his father, Fred Barker, who is overjoyed at his son's musical direction. Fred still sings with Jeff when the occasion arises.
